About Clare Jazz
Clare Jazz is a live jazz night that operates out of the intimate and atmospheric cellars of Clare College Cambridge. We promote Cambridge jazz, whilst also bringing in bands from the London scene and beyond around 4 times a term.
A wide range of styles have graced the cellars over the years from big band to funk. To see who's played in the past, check out the Gallery or the Past Gigs section.
The Venue: Clare Cellars - Located in the crypt chapel of Clare College, the low arched brick ceilings provide the perfect atmosphere for a night of pure jazz. And of course dont forget, Clare Cellars is the home of Clare Bar - one of the few remaining student run bars in town.

Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra formed as a result of frequent late night afrobeat jam sessions in Leeds and has erupted into a fully fledged afrobeat band drawing influences from the space jazz pioneers of the 70’s and the free jazz trailblazers of the 60’s. Expect funky congas, tasty horn licks and a lush dose of keys. Click the image to hear some tunes.
